"Tape recorder" were the first
words spoken by Tam Johnstone.
Born into a
musical background, Tam - the son of Davey Johnstone, Elton
John's lead guitarist since 1972 - taught himself drums and
guitar, writing and recording original material from an
early age. George Martin's AIR studios offered the teenage
Tam gainful employment and by age 17, he was on the road
with '80's Norwegian megastars Aha, eventually working with
the likes of Cathy Dennis, John Jorgenson, Don Henley and
Tammy Wynette. Tam has also released albums as The General
Store and has performed and recorded with - among
others - David Hallyday, Mojave 3 and Evan Dando. He is
currently living in the United States, working with
Michigan-based tribute act, Your Generation
In Concertâ„¢.
